Bespoke corsets & gowns commissioned by some of Honey Bee's clients.
These are a selection of photographs real women in their own beautiful gowns and corsets handmade by Honey Bee Corsets.
Dawn's outfit consists of a ballerina length skirt, a steel boned corset shaped to enhance her lovely shape and a smart, fully lined bolero jacket. This ensemble is made entirely of silk. The corset is embellished with corded and beaded lace and the top layer of the skirt is gathered to one side with handmade silk roses.

Karen wanted a fabric which would make a splash and a corset shape which would flatter her shape and height. This long-line corset is made up in an Alexander Henry printed cotton called "Los Novios" (also available with a cream background - please see the 'Gowns' and 'Cartoon Corsets' page for images) and has black silk boning channels. Chiffon roses' trim and a detachable shoulder strap complete the look which Karen described as "beautiful".

Megan's gown was inspired by 1880s' fashions especially for Whitby's Goth Weekend 2011. In common with many Honey Bee customers, she was very much involved with the design process.

Polly Pockets' corset and bustled skirt is based on 'Gothica'. She chose a sumptuous royal blue silk and the corset features a complementary blue tartan silk.

Kirsty's 21st birthday party frock. Kirsty chose a full skirt in black silk with layers of net topped off with a matching corset decorated with a corsage of handmade silk flowers.

Susan's corset featuring dancing skeletons against a bright red background.

Tina's Tattoo print corset.

This black and ivory silk two-piece was made for Gemma to wear to her friend's wedding. She especially liked the silk roses on the skirt; the outfit was "perfect" she said.

Two corsets for Jen from The Biz Make Up Academy: The first in red silk with tabbed hem and chiffon rose trim; the second a halter necked corset in Alexander Henry print with black silk trim.

Honey Bee always welcomes back clients and we were delighted when Sarah returned to us for a knee length fit 'n' flare skirt and a corset which featured straps. The colours are fantastic: a combination of antique gold and russet ginger silk.

Charlotte's prom dress was made of inky blue silk and the full skirt was supported bylayer upon layer of black net. We liked this young yet sophisticated dress so much that we plan to make another to show very soon!

Sue chose an oceanic green silk with turquoise trim for her corset. Handmade silk roses complete the look.

Becky's wedding gown was a joy to make: the "Gothica" gown in ivory silk featuring an extended train with embroidered details in gold thread (just seen), a flattering three-quarter length sleeve on the bolero and gold ribbons throughout.
Her mum Rita, kindly wrote to us after the wedding to tell us how gorgeous Becky looked: 'everyone admired the dress. What a result!'

Rachel's steampunk inspired gown comprised two-pieces made of the finest black silk and trimmed with lilac velvet ribbon. The apron skirt, which is bustled at the back, is reminiscent of the 1880s'; the steel-boned corset features Honey Bee's classic ribbon and eyelet detailing (the feather cape is Rachel's own). Rachel was delighted with the dress and we think she looks stunning!

Michelle. For her special day, Michelle wanted a period-inspired wedding gown. She chose a design based on the Gothica gown with an extended train and additional ribbon and eyelet details on the skirt. She also chose a hat to complement her outfit. Afterwards, Michelle wrote to say,
“Thank you for the wonderful job you made of my beautiful wedding dress. Everyone who attended and everyone who has seen the photos have said what a fantastic dress it was.”
